Department of Anesthesiology
The Department of Anesthesiology handles the delicate procedure of rendering sedation and anesthesia. Its staff is composed of highly trained anesthesiologists in various fields such as cardiac, neuro, pediatric and transplant anesthesiology.
At St. Luke’s, only experienced anesthesiologists perform Fiberoptic nasal intubation, an endoscopic procedure that facilitates intubating a patient with a difficult or problematic airway, in order to administer anesthesia.
Going beyond the operating theater, our anesthesiologists are also actively at work in ancillary units such as X-Ray, Cathlab, Ultrasound, MRI, CT Scan, Brachytherapy, Endoscopy, and Nuclear Medicine.
