Department of ENT-HNS
The Department of Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery (ENT-HNS) handles all medical problems concerning the ear, nose (including sinus), head and neck. It is staffed by competent head and neck specialists who have had extensive local and international training. The department is equipped with the latest and most complete diagnostic and therapeutic instruments for the ear, nose, throat – head and neck.
The department offers minimally invasive surgical procedures such as endoscopic sinus and skull base surgeries, endoscopic ear surgery, transoral laser (CO2 and KTP) microsurgery and transoral robotic surgery.
The department is at par with Asia’s best ENT-HNS centers. Its pioneering procedures in the country include the first cochlear implant in 1997, transoral laser microsurgery (TLM) for early laryngeal and oropharyngeal malignancies (2000) and the first transoral robotic surgery (TORS) in 2016 using the third generation da Vinci robotic surgical system.
